AIEP
Architected Instruction & Evidence Protocol
Every record your system produces should be provable.
AIEP is an open protocol for adding a verifiable evidence layer to any digital system. SaaS platforms, databases, websites, AI products, and regulated workflows use it to publish, retrieve, and validate records that are machine-readable, hash-bound, and independently replayable.
What AIEP does
| Standard AI | AIEP |
|---|---|
| Generates answers by prediction | Produces evidence-bound, hash-verified outputs |
| No guaranteed sources | Every claim bound to a retrievable, hashed artefact |
| No audit trail | Full evidence rail with timestamps and validation status |
| Non-deterministic | Deterministic and replayable |
| Content invisible to AI retrieval systems | AIEP Mirror — publish a machine-readable layer at /.well-known/aiep/ so AI systems can discover, cite, and verify your content |
The specification
AIEP is a formally specified, openly governed protocol. The normative specification defines eight canonical primitives (R1–R8), a complete artefact type registry, discovery endpoint requirements, schema definitions, and conformance rules. It is version-pinned, frozen on publication, and independently auditable.

Live implementations

Public repositories
AIEP is open. All core components are publicly available on GitHub under github.com/phatfella.
Open standard, governed specification
AIEP is developed in the open, governed by documented principles, and versioned under semantic versioning. Every spec version is frozen on publication. Breaking changes require a major version increment, patent review, and migration documentation. The governance model is public.
Machine-readable endpoints
AIEP publishes stable, crawlable JSON endpoints. No authentication required.
