Terms of Use

Last updated: April 2026

These terms apply to access and use of the AIEP Hub website at aiep.dev, operated by AIEP Ltd.

1. Access

This site is publicly accessible. No registration is required for public content. Access is provided “as is” without warranty.

We reserve the right to restrict access in cases of abuse, automated attacks, or violation of these terms.

2. Content and protocol use

Open use

AIEP is an open protocol. The specifications, schemas, whitepapers, and documentation published on this site are available under the Apache License 2.0 unless otherwise stated. Open use is always permitted. You do not need to ask permission to implement, build on, or extend AIEP.

See: /licensing

Certification claims

The term “AIEP Certified” is a protected claim. You may not represent a system as AIEP Certified unless it has undergone the certification process and holds a valid, verifiable certificate in the AIEP registry. Misuse of certification claims may constitute a false or misleading assertion.

See: /certification

No false claims

You must not publish false or misleading claims about AIEP, its capabilities, its certification status, or its relationship to your products.

3. Acceptable use

You may use this site to:

  • Access and read public documentation
  • Download protocol artefacts under Apache 2.0 terms
  • Query the machine interface at /.well-known/aiep/ for legitimate technical integration
  • Crawl public pages for legitimate indexing purposes (including AI crawlers)

You must not:

  • Use this site to conduct denial-of-service attacks or automated abuse
  • Attempt to access restricted infrastructure or private endpoints
  • Misrepresent AIEP’s capabilities in a context where it could mislead regulators, investors, or users
  • Circumvent any technical security measures

4. Intellectual property

The AIEP protocol specification and its published components are protected by patent applications. Patents filed or in preparation include GB2519711.2 and related applications in the P01–P128 series, plus six AGI cognitive architecture applications filed April 2026. Open use under Apache 2.0 is not affected by patent applications — see /patents.

The AIEP name, “AIEP Certified”, and associated marks are the property of AIEP Ltd.

5. Disclaimer

This site and its content are provided “as is”. AIEP Ltd makes no warranty, express or implied, as to the fitness of the protocol, SDK, or documentation for any particular purpose. Protocol conformance claims are the responsibility of the implementing organisation.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AIEP Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of this site or the AIEP protocol.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
